Parliament staff have announced that the scheduled Questions Time and Legislative Session on 30 and 31 October will be cancelled to allow members and the public to enjoy Halloween.
This also means Parliament will pause shortly after His Majesty the King opens parliament at the State Opening of Parliament.
Parliament Staff also said that Halloween costumes will be permitted in the session before Halloween as long as they are within reason.
The parliamentary term is due to conclude with Questions Time on 18 December 2026.
Following that session, Parliament and the Electoral Commission will be suspended until at least the New Year.
The scheduling announcement comes as Parliament prepares to begin its 95th term, with staff continuing to organise the timetable for members.
