Kinabatangan MP accuses federal government of failing to address sports motions

Kinabatangan MP has criticized the federal government’s handling of parliamentary debates on sports development, accusing ministers of failing to answer key questions.

Kinabatangan MP, YB Tan Sri Datuk Seri Utama Ahmad Che’zi, has issued a press statement criticizing the federal government over its response to motions raised regarding the sports sector.

In a statement released on Saturday, 17 October 2026, Ahmad Che’zi said he had serious doubts about the administration’s capabilities after two motions on sports development allegedly failed to receive adequate commitment.

The MP pointed out that his questions regarding the direction of motorsports development remained unanswered by both the Minister and Deputy Minister, despite being straightforward.

Describing the administration’s leadership as akin to “a boat adrift in the middle of the ocean without a captain”, Ahmad Che’zi suggested that the opposition should take over the federal government if the situation did not improve.

He urged the public to review the proceedings of the previous evening’s parliamentary debate on the MYSverse Parliament server, reaffirming his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities to his constituents.
