In a press conference earlier this evening, the Prime Minister accused the official Opposition, the National Democrats, of “falling apart”.
Following on from this claim, he said that the Party had faced a decline from over 200 server members in the last election, to roughly 142 today.
Following a set of verifications by the BBC Verify team, it can be confirmed that the National Democrats have faced a decline in server members, with a notable drop in the last 3 months.
In July 2026, the National Democrats were the largest Party with 200 server members, however they have since followed a gradual decline to todays member count of 142.
However, the Party has maintained a steady Commons attendance rate of roughly 65%, suggesting that while their membership numbers have faced damages, they are still committed to attending the Commons.
Speaking regarding the claims, the Leader of the National Democrats said:
“60 members gone, 60 folk who are dead weight.”
“The server is 3 years old – Prime Minister, the call is coming from inside the house.”
“After the ejection of two of his own MPs on the FIRST session of the term, he clearly is unable to control his MPs or vet them.”
“Ironic from a man who falsely accuses the opposition of harboring alts, when he can’t fill his seats without the humanitarian aid of MongPAC, where’s the vetting, PM?”
“Even at PMQs one of your MPs only a week later was inches away from ejection. Get a grip!”
