Earlier this evening, the Duke of Leinster pub was victim to a serious arson attack carried out by two masked individuals.
The fire was started at approximately 17:30, with the entire building going up in flames.
Luckily for the public, the pub is closed on Thursdays and there were no reported victims inside.
The road was closed while fire crews worked to extinguish the flames, however all traffic is now flowing back through the Square again as expected.
A full investigation into the cause will now take place.
