Seek Jesus legislation rejected by Peers

Peers reject the controversial re-introduction of Lords Spirituals in a 6-8 vote.

Controversial plans to re-introduce Lords Spirituals to the House of Lords has failed in a 6-8 division during the legislative sitting.

The legislation introduced by the Member of Parliament for the Greater London region, jviiden, passed the House of Commons on Saturday evening in a 20-19 vote with strong opposition from For Britain and the Unionist Party.

The legislation in itself is a redux of the Lord sllllllp of Londonderry’s bill that too encountered troubled waters through the legislative process.

Supporters of the re-introduction of Lords Spirituals appear poised to ramp up efforts to secure its passage through the Houses of Parliament in the coming days.
