The Dubious Meats near Westbridge Bus Station caught fire this evening at approximately 18:00, in what some have come to believe was an arson attack.
The fire, which was first seen at 18:00 by members of the public, was quickly reported to the LFB, who dispatched an engine to help manage the blaze. It was quickly put out. The shop was closed for business at the time, so no one was inside.
Some members of the public reported seeing masked men wearing military fatigues near Dubious Meats 30 minutes before the fire started. The Metropolitan Police has not confirmed these reports, and no police were seen at the scene.
However, arson-related attacks have been on the rise recently, with yesterday’s Greggs incident and Sunday’s Leinster Massacre, where a bomb exploded in the Duke of Leinster pub. Some have speculated that these incidents are related.
