Earlier this evening, the Territorial Support Group raided an address in Matlock Tower following a tip-off that a wanted individual was residing in the flat.
Upon entry into the flat, officers discovered a large quantity of weapons, drugs, and cash totaling £110,000, however the homeowner was not present.
As the incident unfolded, additional intelligence was received suggesting that the suspect was spotted near to the raid’s cordon, and firearms officers located the suspect.
Following a pursuit, the suspect crashed and surrendered in a disused car park.
A full investigation will now be launched into the offender and what the weapons and cash may have been linked to.
