The House of Lords Appointments Commission announced that all previously granted exceptions for non-sitting life peers have been revoked. As a result, their titles, honours, and styles are now considered expired.
Those affected have 30 days to petition the commission to return to the House of Lords if they wish to keep their titles. Officials also said no new exceptions will be granted in the future.
