The Leader of the Opposition in Canada, jamieqrz is facing calls to resign this afternoon as Deputy Leader ScriptedSid, becomes the first official to put his head above the parapet and call for a change in leadership whilst resigning as Deputy Leader.
His authority has waned in recent days after it was exposed he failed to cast a ballot in the General Election at the start of the month and mislead the Canadian public over the parties’ role in post election coalition negotiations.
In announcing his resignation as Deputy Leader, he stated “I have asked him to resign as leader to allow him to go on his own terms, but if this doesn’t amount to success I will be lodging a formal confidence vote to give our party the opportunity to voice its opinion on our future”.
National Board Member jviiden has joined ScriptedSid in calling for a change of leadership with more expected to join them imminently as the party stares down the barrel of a rapid leadership election following the failure of the NDP led governments Throne Speech last night.
