Metropolitan Police and British Armed Forces conduct joint training

The event showed that the Met and the British Armed Forces are prepared, and able to, provide assistance during a riot.

The Metropolitan Police and British Armed Forces took part in a joint training exercise yesterday, designed to test their ability to respond to incidents and maintain public order across a range of simulated environments.

The exercise involved multiple scenarios taking place across the borough, allowing personnel from both services to practise coordination and assess their responses to different situations.

Pictured above, officers and military personnel confront three armed men on a high street that was closed to the public for the exercise. The scenario concluded with all three individuals being detained.

The exercise provided an opportunity for both services to practise working together in simulated operational conditions, with personnel responding to a series of scenarios throughout the day.
