The Albanian government has released a statement on Monday afternoon announcing the arrest of the former Speaker of Parliament and a former Albanian MP.
The release states that the former officials ”were closely connected with operations and influence inside the government ministries of Kosovo.”
The arrest was conducted by Albanian authorities through the Albanian cooperation network, SPAK (Albanian Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime).
The announcement comes after rising tensions in the region as we have reported on earlier.
