First Minister and Member of Parliament for Northern Ireland leahvnx has been re-elected as Unity Party leader following the Party’s recent leadership election.
The leadership election was called by leahvnx following the “disappointing” results that she had received in the September General Election, a 26% decrease since the July General Election.
However, the Regional Ballot also received a large decrease in voter turnout, with a decline of roughly 33% since the July General Election, which meant that leahvnx infact now holds a higher mandate of 24% compared to her previous 21%.
The Member of Parliament for Northern Ireland will now enter the Stormont election with a fresh new mandate, ready to face the challenges of being re-elected as First Minster.
