In a post made on the Household Cavalry’s X account this week, it has been announced that the regiment has implemented the systems required to operate their horses on the frontlines.
The move has been made to enable troops to travel via horseback alongside modern-day mechanised vehicles.
Horses were the original mode of transport for the regiment, and as such it has been done to remember their roots in the Battle of Waterloo.
