ln a statement released by For Britain this evening, the party has claimed that the National Democrats government has “literally done nothing” since CharlesStuart was elected as their new leader.
Who is CharlesStuart?
CharlesStuart currently serves as the leader of the National Democrats, and was recently elected following the resignation of BarendVanderbilt, now Lord Vanderbilt of Ventnor.
CharlesStuart resigned his peerage as Lord Stuart of Hamilton in order to run for party leader, a move which many would argue was a downgrade from the higher chamber, however he described the move as “exciting” during his first address to the nation.
CharlesStuart has never previously served as Prime Minister, however he has been involved with British politics for many years, and he credits himself for the foundation of today’s Unionist Party.
Is this government sleeping?
One of the claims made in the statement raise concerns over the legally-mandated cabinet reports and the fact that they were “delayed”.
Under the Transparency Act 2024, Secretaries of States are required to release their reports on a weekly basis, and this has been followed each week.
Reports have released weekly on a Friday, with each set being posted on the 28th of August, 4th of September, and 11th of September – the only delay was the Justice report, which released 11 hours late due to the Secretary of State attending a wedding in real life.
On the other hand, the statement also accuses the Government of failing to propose any legislation.
Looking through publicly accessible Parliament records, no government-proposed legislation has passed through Parliament since the 2nd of September.

The Prime Minister visited Middletown on the 12th of September, in which he met with the First Minister and toured the area, including a reception at Manor House.
BBC Verify can confirm the presence of the Prime Minister in Westbridge for the Italian government visit, however we are unable to source evidence of him claiming issues with his laptop.
Ultimately, whether or not this government has been “sleeping” is a decision down to the electorate, and what they consider is or isn’t effective leadership.
