It was a busy day at the General Assembly, with several admissions up for a vote and one ejection attempt on the table.
Turkiye’s bid for admission came up short, falling 00-14-08 even after picking up some late support.
North Korea had a much easier time, gaining admission with a 25-00-06 result after starting strong and gaining more backing along the way.
The biggest talking point of the day was a motion to eject the Holy See by the Republic of Korea, which never really got off the ground.
It was voted down 02-08-11, with most delegations either against it or sitting it out.
