Government abandons plans to nationalise the bus industry

Ministers have pulled plans to nationalise private bus operators following growing criticism from Transport for London workers and business owners.

The Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Ognian0, has issued an official statement confirming the government is completely abandoning its push for full bus nationalisation of both Arriva and FirstGroup PLC.

The decision follows controversy and growing concerns over the changes from private bus operators, drivers, and Transport for London leadership.

The Treasury acknowledged the vital role private companies have played in maintaining Transport for London services for over eight years.
