The Commonwealth Secretariat have announced the establishment of a new Commonwealth World Service.

In an official public statement by the Secretariat, the Commonwealth World Service will be the “official broadcasting and news organisation of the Commonwealth”, reporting on the “events of the Secretariat and update Commonwealth citizens on breaking news stories occurring in other member states.”

The newly established service would be overseen by an Under Secretary General, with daily operations led by a Director. The appointments of JamesFBerkshire and Guest770126 to these roles respectively were confirmed later in the day in a separate press release.
