Speaking in an exclusive interview with the BBC, NotChocolatePlayz argued that the Unionists had a proven record of delivering results while accusing the current National-Social Democrat government of neglecting community activity and local businesses.
“We are a party with a demonstrated history of delivering results,” NotChocolatePlayz said.
NotChocolatePlayz criticised both the National Party and the Social Democrats, claiming they had “overlooked the needs of local businesses”, failed to organise events and left government budgets unused.
According to NotChocolatePlayz, the Unionists instead spent their time in opposition rebuilding party structures and working directly with businesses in preparation for a return to government.
“The Unionist party spent its time in opposition working with businesses and rebuilding to prepare for us to enter government with a clear plan and vision,” NotChocolatePlayz said.
When asked about priorities if elected, NotChocolatePlayz said the Unionists would immediately focus on Westbridge, arguing the region had been significantly neglected under the current government.
“Westbridge. It’s as simple as that,” NotChocolatePlayz said.
NotChocolatePlayz claimed that declining activity and engagement in Westbridge had created little incentive for players to participate in the game, describing the wider community as being “on life support”.
A future Unionist government, according to NotChocolatePlayz, would seek to increase activity through additional events, government visits and parliamentary engagement.
“We will organize more events in Westbridge and ensure that the WEC takes proactive steps rather than remaining passive,” NotChocolatePlayz said.
Among the proposals outlined by NotChocolatePlayz were public announcements of government foreign visits to Westbridge and parliamentary surgeries designed to allow MPs to directly engage with local players.
NotChocolatePlayz also argued that greater activity in Westbridge would encourage the MET to become more active again.
“Our community is currently on life support,” NotChocolatePlayz said. “However, it is our responsibility as a government to sustain events, support local businesses, and foster a vibrant community.”
Addressing criticism of the Unionist Party, NotChocolatePlayz acknowledged concerns surrounding a decline in party activity during part of the current term.
“I think during this term we saw a dip in activity,” NotChocolatePlayz said, attributing the slowdown to a three-week holiday in Asia.
However, NotChocolatePlayz said the party had returned to full activity following that period.
“The second I came back we began working and have never been better,” NotChocolatePlayz said.
Asked why voters should trust the Unionists to lead the country, NotChocolatePlayz pointed to previous government experience and work alongside senior political figures including MichaelMRothschild and NathanDRothschild.
“I have held numerous positions in my time in Government and have worked with some amazing people whom I learnt a lot from,” NotChocolatePlayz said.
NotChocolatePlayz also highlighted achievements as Foreign Secretary, including the organisation of an international business fair involving more than 100 participants.
According to NotChocolatePlayz, the event included transport shuttle services and participation from numerous businesses, generating significant activity and engagement across the community.
