Today in Sydney, at Macquarie Place Park, a service was hosted for ANZAC Day. Many delegates and members of the public were present to witness the ceremony, which was hosted by the Chief of Defence Force Kragle_2900. Members of every Australian Army regiment were present, along with members of various emergency services.
A Catafalque Party was mounted for the duration of the event, and representatives from other countries were invited to lay wreaths at the cenotaph. A speech was also given by both the Australian and New Zealand Governor Generals. The Secretary of State of the Holy See lead everybody in prayer, with the Chief of Defence Staff also reciting the Ode of Remembrance.
Finally, the New Zealand and Australian anthems were played, bringing the service to a close. The Chief of the Defence Force and Chief of the Army briefly met afterwards with 2 Warrant Officers from the King’s Royal Hussars to thank them for their attendance and bid them farewell.
