The Prime Minister has released a statement appointing the former monarch, the Duke of Gloucester, to the position of Director of Communications at Number 10 Westbridge.
It has been confirmed that in the role, the Duke will lead the Government’s press office, managing the in-game event schedule and responding to media enquiries.
Number 10 Westbridge was renamed from the previous Westmorland House, and has became central to the Government’s operations since entering Downing Street.
With a rise in in-game events, and the return of Cabinet Meetings to Westbridge, the role may become crucial to future operations.
Speaking to the BBC, the Duke of Gloucester said:
“I am honoured to take up this appointment and look forward to supporting the government’s agenda for Westbridge. I will work closely with the press to keep the British public informed of key developments, decisions and announcements.”
