The BBC has been informed that the Unionist Party is set to deregister this evening following numerous months of trouble within the party leadership.
The Unionists can trace their origins back six years to 2020, beginning as the Liberal Democrats and then transitioning to a stronger right-wing-affiliated party through the Cavaliers and Unionists.
The Party is well-recognised for the family of Rothschilds that it has developed over the years, who formed a large part of the Party’s leadership.
In the deregistration letter revealed to the BBC, the Chairman of the Party, The Lord Rothschild of Radlett, said that the Party will be “very much missed” and the “the principles of putting the interests of the country before political preservation” do not end with it.
While the Party has faced constant media and political scrutiny in recent months, the Chairman did say that Sir Callum Cathcart “personally expressed his gratitude” for his continued commitment to working for the country.
No comment has been provided by the Unionist Party Leader.
