The month of September has not been an easy one for the Unionist Party, with GB News calling it a “dramatic collapse”.
In his latest statement released on the 15th of September, the Party Chairman, The Lord Rothschild of Radlett, said that the Party was “facing internal doubt” and “losing momentum”.
This was made following the recent party leadership election which took place earlier this month and saw a five-way battle between TE4SP0N, D0GCheddar, KamDux, MaryJHill, and JaydenLRothschild.
TE4SP0N came out of the election victorious, with a vote share of 29.4%, from what was described by GB News as a “lacklustre” turnout.
Following the election of TE4SP0N, the Party faced a wave of resignations, with MaryJHill resigning just a few hours afterwards.
AidanBWhite and D0GCheddar followed suit, resigning numerous days later.

Speaking to The Telegraph, AidanBWhite said:
“I resigned because I felt the Unionist Party is heading in a direction I no longer recognise, and I cannot support a leader I do not regard as legitimate.”
The leader of the Party, TE4SP0N, did however attempt to make light of the situation by announcing a “string of correspondence” which he said would release “over the next week”, from 11 September to 18 September.
No such program has yet been released.

The BBC approached The Lord Rothschild of Radlett for comment surrounding recent affairs. He said:
“Questions about the Unionist Party’s recent leadership election and internal changes are fair, but they should be considered in context rather than treated automatically as evidence of collapse.”
“Our focus is on rebuilding trust through serious policy and responsible government, including strong support for the Metropolitan Police and our emergency services.”
The Unionist Party have also announced the appointment of c_locky as their Deputy Leader, as reported earlier today by ITN News.
Speaking to ITN News, c_locky said that it was an “absolute pleasure” to enter his leadership role in a party “forgotten and disillusioned with the British people”.

Ultimately, while the Unionists have said they have faced a “difficult period”, they believe they are heading in the right direction to begin “real positive change for … the British people”
