The Electoral Commission has finalised the motion to merge the Cosmocratic Party and the National Party into a single party called the “National Democrats” ahead of this weekend’s election.
The motion, initially submitted by KabirSheringham, Chairman of the Cosmocratic Party, was approved by both party leaderships.
The updated Agreement Plan outlines the merger proposal. Initially, each party’s board or parliamentary committee approved the merger in accordance with its constitution by a majority vote. This was then ratified by the EC on Monday night, confirming the completion of the party merger in the UK Discord server.
In the newly formed party, BarendFrederickShaw, the Cosmocratic Leader, will be the Party Leader. Kingmaster_I, the Nationals Leader, will become Deputy Leader. TheRightHon will be the Party Chairman, and KabirSheringham will serve as Vice-Chairman.
As part of the merger, the EC has confirmed that the National Party Discord server will be archived. The new National Democrats party will use the former Cosmocratic Party server, which will be rebranded.
KabirSheringham, the proposer of the merger, explained that the new party aims to “unite the political spectrum – and specifically centre to right politics in our community”. This was prompted by his question about the formation of the new For Britain party by the former Prime Minister and “legacy politician” DeanRHeathcote.
With the major contending parties having rebranded and replaced with new images, Sunday’s election now presents a lot to play for. All eyes will be on Westminster as the public decides who will step into Number 10.
